Mental Health and Social Health Care Systems
This post is a continuation from the previous post regarding the Ontario Legislature and 1st responders. The previous video spoke about how having access to immediate mental health care saved my life. Yet, in this video I talk a bit more about the need for our 1st responders to have immediate access to health care and that I believe that this is a step in the right direction for Ontario; however, I believe that there are more problems that others can face in this type of social health care system.
Ontario, Canada’s Legislation has passed a health care law that will give Police Officers and Corrections Officers quicker access to mental health care for PTSD treatment because their current social health care program is not fast enough to render help when people with PTSD need it most…which is immediately.
Watch, listen, and share this video to find out more.
